Vacations or whatever
* We have three holidays in MX this week, so i asked to my employer for two timeoff days, so i can rest the entire week. I declined an invitation to Acapulco from a couple of nice friends, so I stayed in Mx City. I finished reading "Eon" by Greg Bear, and started the reading of "Teleny" by O. Wilde. Spend monday in Yecapixtla, eating a lot of cecina and pitaya's icecream. Hope I could get into Tepoztlan to some rest and fun.
* We have hot days in the city, something like 26 C, so take anything with real sugar is a kind of uncomfortable. I will switch to Coca Cola light, I hope don't getting the same disgusting caramel effect over my throat.
* I went to a bookstore with my sisters, and I hate the bookstore system for searching. It seems to be pretty uncoolness. I hate to use it, there is no usability. I want to make my own system, so it's there when I have my bookstore. Became the owner of a bookstore is something nice for me, because in that way I could get the lastest books at best price. I tried to start working using the PILA project, a GPLed software from softwarelivre.org.br, but the site seems to be down. I would like to take mono's xsp and then make it work as the daemon for the backend, and a desktop link to a page to the internal webserver (on special port and everything, something like google desktop). I think is easy to work in this kind of solutions, it will run on many OS. And I will use sqlite as backend, so not too much software will be needed to install and configure.
* Reading the so many debian lists. The technical stuff seems to be pretty good. The ayuda@linux.org.mx list seems to be in stand-by mode. All the people should be in the beach. ;)
* Terdlim didn't call today. Sometimes I would like to live with her.

A couple of things
Mplayer is complaining about the software patents in Europe
Woo! I found this technology: Ajax. It's just the kind of technology used in gmail.com. Really cool.
I'm testing the ubuntu hoary livecd for my ibook. It's really nice. I just updated my desktop machine (sadly, an x86) from warty to hoary. It's pretty nice.
Some guys in the mx office are preparing a talk about Linux in the desktop. I tested for this the gnome livecd, it's really nice too! I think i will make a lot of copies of this for the people from UNAM (A lot of thanks to Luis and gnome people).

Intel is having problems...
In this last years, the goal for intel is beating his competitors creating faster (in terms of clock) processors, but now they starting to have problems, like the inquirer point us:
ntel faces performance struggle for two hard years
How Intel will rip up its current roadmaps
En los ultimos años, el objetivo de intel ha sido vencer a su competencia a traves de la creacion de procesadores mas rapidos (en terminos de reloj), pero ahora comienzan a tener problemas, como comenta the inquirer:
